Blessthefall (typeset as blessthefall) is an American band from Phoenix, Arizona. Their debut album "His Last Walk" was released on April 10, 2007.

History

Blessthefall grew out of high school practice sessions consisting of guitarist Mike Frisby, drummer Matt Traynor, (ex)vocalist Craig Mabbitt and bassist Jared Warth. Blessthefall toured with Escape The Fate, LoveHateHero, Before Their Eyes, and Dance Gavin Dance on the Black On Black tour during September and October 2007.

Blessthefall were also part of the Underground Operations Tour And Loathing Tour 2007, opening for Protest The Hero and All That Remains, along with fellow opening bands, Threat Signal and the Holly Springs Disaster.

Blessthefall were a part of From First to Last's fall headlining tour, starting November 1st with A Skylit Drive and Vanna. They then began a tour with Silverstein, their first European Tour. While on that tour, in December 2007, Mabbitt left the band during the United Kingdom portion of its European tour, for (according to the band's MySpace blog) "personal reasons." The band had try outs for the new lead vocal position but had no such luck finding a replacement. During this time Jared filled in for vocals as well as playing bass to complete the tour. After the tour, the band decided to look for a temporary fill in bass player so that Jared could concentrate on vocals. For that time, Jared was the lead vocalist and Aiden was playing bass.

On December 15, 2007 Blessthefall posted a blog on their MySpace saying they parted ways with Mabbitt. Mabbitt posted a bulletin on his personal MySpace stating his willingness to return to the band. In February 2008, Mabbitt became the replacement lead singer for one of Blessthefall's tour friends, Escape The Fate. In 2008, Blessthefall released a new video for the song "Rise Up" from the album "His Last Walk." The video, (directed by Travis Kopach), is the first video to not include Mabbitt.

Current

On September 25, 2008, the group announced that they have a new lead singer, Beau Bokan. Bokan was the lead singer of Take the Crown, a group who released an album on Rise Records earlier in 2008 before disbanding. They have also released a new demo song called "To Hell and Back" [http://blessthefall.buzznet.com/user/journal/3066611/] and are currently writing more new music and bonding as band members.
