Mauritius (play)

Mauritius is a play on Broadway which opened on October 4, 2007 at the Biltmore Theatre and closed November 25, 2007. Written by Pulitzer Prize for Drama-nominee Theresa Rebeck, it is her Broadway debut. It is about two sisters who inherit a stamp collection which might be worth a fortune. Many of the characters try to out con each other in the attempt to reap possible rewards. The premiere production was held in Boston by the Huntington Theatre Company at the Boston Center for the Arts' Calderwood Pavilion in October 2006.[1] It was offered at Chicago's Northlight Theatre February 25 to April 5, 2009.[2] The Broadway production earned Bobby Cannavale a Tony Award nomination for Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Play.[3]
