The British School Manila, (abbreviation: BSM) is one of a few highly recognised, private international schools in the Philippines. The school provides the highest quality British education, following the English National Curriculum from Nursery to Year 13. Children are prepared for National Curriculum Tests (NCTs) at age 7, 11, and 14, GCSE at 16 and International Baccalaureate at 18. As of 2007, BSM is a member of the Council of International Schools [ [http://members.cois.org/directory/ISD.aspx CIS Members Directory ] ]

BSM was established in 1976, with just two classrooms and 32 students. In September 2001 the The British School Manila relocated to purpose built premises in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig in Metro Manila, Philippines, next to the International School Manila, and the Manila Japanese School. Facilities include a swimming pool, auditorium, playing field, two science laboratories, a technology suite, music and drama studio and four ICT laboratories. Classrooms are built on a cluster design in order to maintain the friendly 'small school feeling' that characterizes the British School. Each of the 6 clusters in the school have been named according to various popular locations in the Philippines. It has now grown to more than 700+ pupils, representing over 40 nationalities. The school offers an education that nurtures the different strengths and talents of its students, who are exposed to a broad and balanced curriculum.

Each class has a maximum size of 20 students. Benefiting from individual teacher attention and motivation, each child is encouraged to develop at his own pace. Teachers are all UK or Commonwealth trained.

The head of Primary School (Nursery to Year 6) is Mr. Glenn Hardy. The head of Senior School (Year 7 to Year 13) is Mr. Ian Clayton.

In early June 2008, the school purchased an empty lot beside the school. It is currently expanding through the addition of extra sports facilities. [ [http://www.britishschoolmanila.org/web/about_general.htm The British School Manila ] ]
