1994 Topps

This a list with brief descriptions of Topps sports card products for 1994.

Baseball

Base Set

The 1994 Topps set totals 792 cards and was issued in mini, mini jumbo, wax, rack, jumbo, jumbo rack, factory set, or Bakers Dozen factory sets. Subsets include All-Stars, Stat Twins, Draft Picks, Prospects, and Checklist cards. Size: 2-1/2 X 3-1/2 in.

Traded Set

The Traded set has 132 cards and was issued as a factory set which included Finest Inserts for a total of 140 cards. The cards are identical in appearance to the base set except for the T in the numbering. This set featured traded players, draft choices and rookie cards. Size: 2-1/2 X 3-1/2 in.

Black Gold

This set totals 44 cards and was available as a pack or factory set insert or by using redemption cards. The fronts feature a player action photo with gold foil player and team names. Size: 2-1/2 X 3-1/2 in.

Traded Finest Inserts

This set has 8 total cards and were issued in the Traded Factory Set. The cards have a purple chrome background. The players in the set are the top performers through the Month of July of the '94 season. Size: 2-1/2 X 3-1/2 in.

uperstar Samplers

This set features 3 versions of 45 players for a total 135 cards and were available as inserts in Bakers Dozen Factory sets. The three versions include Bowman, Finest, and Stadium Club card of the player. Size: 2-1/2 X 3-1/2 in.

1995 Topps Pre-Production

This nine card set was issued in 1994 Topps Baker's Dozen Factory sets and resemble the 1995 Topps base cards. The difference being that the words Pre-Production Sample are placed over the statistics for the 1994 season. Size: 2-1/2 X 3-1/2 in.

Archives 1954

The 1994 Archives set issued in 12-card packs is a reprint of the original 1954 Topps set. Included are 248 cards from the original set with the exception of cards 1 and 250 both of which are Ted Williams. There are also eight specially created prospect cards. Original size: 2-5/8 X 3-3/4 in.

Bowman

* The 1994 Bowman set has 682 cards and was issued in plastic, and jumbo packs. The cards feature the player's name in gold foil along with a gold foil stripe along the left and bottom as well as around the Bowman logo. This set features a foil subset of top young stars and prospects. Size: 2-1/2 X 3-1/2 in.
* Bowman Previews is a 10 card set that was issued in 1994 Stadium Club 2nd series packs. These cards are identical to the regular issue except for multi-colored foil on the fronts. Size: 2-1/2 X 3-1/2 in.
* Bowman's Best has 200 cards consisting of 90 veterans, 90 rookie and prospects, and 20 mirror image cards. Subsets features are Super Vet, Super Rookie, and Blue Chip. Size: 2-1/2 X 3-1/2 in.

Finest

* The 1994 Finest set totals 440 cards and was issued in packs. The cards are glossy and have green and gold borders with a Finest Moment note on the back. Set includes three special design subsets one each for top 1993 rookies, top 1994 rookies and top veterans. Size: 2-1/2 X 3-1/2 in.
* Finest Pre-Production cards were issued in Topps 2nd series packs. The set contains 40 card with the words Pre-Production on the back being the only difference from the regular issue. Size: 2-1/2 X 3-1/2 in.

Stadium Club

* The 1994 Stadium Club set totals 720 cards and was issued in foil and jumbo packs in 3 series of 270, 270, and 180 cards respectively. Subsets include Home Run Club, Tale of Two Players, Division Leaders, and Quick Starts among others. Size: 2-1/2 X 3-1/2 in.
* Dugout Dirt is a 12 card insert set featuring cartoon art on the backs. Size: 2-1/2 X 3-1/2 in.
* Stadium Club Finest is a 10 card insert set of metallic cards with red and yellow backgrounds. Size: 2-1/2 X 3-1/2 in.
* Super Teams is a 28 card insert set. There was one card for each team and could also be redeemed for prizes if the team won the division, league, or World Series. Size: 2-1/2 X 3-1/2 in.
* Members Only is a 50 card factory set issued to Stadium Club members. Size: 2-1/2 X 3-1/2 in.
* Stadium Club Team is a 360 card set featuring 30 players from 12 teams. Size: 2-1/2 X 3-1/2 in.
* Team Finest is a 12 cards insert set featuring one player from the 12 teams in the Stadium Club Team set. Size: 2-1/2 X 3-1/2 in.
* Draft Picks is a 90 card set featuring players selected in the MLB draft in June of 1994. Size: 2-1/2 X 3-1/2 in.

Parallel Sets

* In 1994 Topps issued identical 792 card sets called Topps Gold which featured gold foil stamped player names and Topps logos on the respective cards. They were available as inserts in packs. The checklist cards were replaced with player cards.
* In 1994 Topps issued a Spanish set which is a bilingual version of the Base set. It was issued as a Factory set which included 10 Topps Legends cards of retired Latin players.
* Finest issued a Refractors set available as an insert in packs.
* Finest Jumbos are an 80 card reproduction set of the special design subset cards. Size: 3-1/2 X 5 in.
* Stadium Club First Day Issue issued as pack inserts.
* Stadium Club Members Only issued as a factory set and includes parallels of the insert sets as well.
* Stadium Club Golden Rainbow issued as pack inserts.
* Stadium Club Finest Jumbos issued for retail repacks. Size: 5 X 7 in.
* Stadium Club Team First Day Issue found as inserts in various packs.
* Stadium Club Draft Picks First Day Issue found 4 per box.
* Archives 1954 Gold inserted in 1994 Topps Archives packs.
* Bowman's Best Refractors inserted in packs at a rate of 1:9.

Retail/Food Issues

* FanFest Clemente this set included a special issue 1954 Topps Archives cards available at '94 All-Star FanFest in Pittsburgh. Size: 2-1/2 X 3-1/2 in.
