Vic Seddon

Victor James Seddon [born on 24 August 1945 in Wigan, Lancashire] , England is an educator, academic manager and now consultant best known for his work with the Polytechnics [1970-1992] in UK higher education, and with colleges of further education.

Seddon has been a lecturer in statistics and mathematical economics in a number of colleges and universities. Between 1980 and 1985, Seddon chaired the development group for Business Information Technology at the Business & Technology Education Council, creating a curriculum for the new technology in colleges. Until 1992, he was a member of numerous panels and committees of the Council for National Academic Awards. At Teesside, he was chairman of the Academic Standards Committee of the new university. He was Dean of Faculty at the Business School at Leeds Polytechnic (now Leeds Metropolitan University) and also at Teesside Polytechnic (University from 1992), the Principal of Croydon College and Executive Director with the Learning and Skills Council.
