UUSM was founded in 1956. In the 1960s, it purchased an existing
Methodist church building and moved to 300 East Santa Inez Avenue, San Mateo, California. The building is an example of theCarpenter Gothic style.Leadership
The Lead Minister is the Rev. Vail Weller, and the Assistant Minister is the Rev. Lauren Smith.
