Zulemita Menem

"Zulemita" Menem (born in La Rioja in 1965 as Zulema María Eva Menem Yoma) is the daughter of former president of Argentina Carlos Menem and his wife Zulema Yoma. She is named for María Eva Duarte de Perón.

She assisted her father in functions related to international relations, accompanying the President in his frequent official visits around the world. She played the role of First Lady, with a fresh air as against the usual rigidity of protocol. She seemed to be prepared for the ceremonies and the customs of the different cultures and countries she visited. Her elegant manners and dress did not go unnoticed by the highest personalities of the foreign governments.

In the most sophisticated atmospheres of international policy, Yoma Menem proved herself an excellent ambassador, while gaining an affectionate respect in the diplomatic stages where she proved her unobjectionable naturalness.

The Kingdoms of Spain and Sweden awarded Zulemita Menem with personal decorations. Always next to her father, in long trips to each continent, she was cheerful in spite of the pressures of the protocol , the full calendar, the intense days and the interminable greetings. In every occasion she is kind with her smile and leaves an excellent impression.
