Carlton Road is a major, 4-laned thoroughfare in the community of Unionville, in the Town of Markham,
Ontario . The road began atYork Regional Road 65 as a minor, 2-laned, local route. Stop signs are quite frequent. Along the road, real estates built from the 1900s could be found. East ofYork Regional Road 3 , the road widen into 4 lanes, with structures from 1980s. Mainly developed by the Monarch Construction Group, the local community is given a name as "The Bridle Trail". Near the intersection of Carlton Road andMain Street Unionville is the community centre of Unionville, where Phillip Eckardt and his fellow settlers first settled in the early 1800s.The area is featured with the European style construction from the Victoria Era, and is still retained until this year, attracting many visitors around the world for a visit.

The road ends at
York Regional Road 67 , and continues east as Raymerville Drive.Along the road, Carlton Road also serves a thoroughfare, serving the nearby 110,000 residents of Unionville, which is very similar to
Bur Oak Avenue (which serves as a major throughfare for residents in Berczy Village, Wismer Common, and Cornell).
