Montell Jordan is the self-titled fifth studio album released by Montell Jordan, it was his last album for Def Jam Recordings. It was released on February 26, 2002 and was produced by Montell Jordan, Steven Estiverne and Focus. Although this album was only released on a limited run oversees it garnered the best feedback, so far, for the artist. At this point in his career he decided to leave Def Jam as they no longer musically were on one page. The lead single titled "You Must Have Been" made it to #44 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks.
