Canadian Forces was called in for the search onJune 9 , after Kunuk's family became worried. AC-130 Hercules was dispatched fromCFB Trenton to search for Kunuk; aCH-149 Cormorant also attempted to search, but poor weather grounded it. Melting snow prevented a ground search by snowmobile.
