Guinobatan is a 1st class municipality in the province of Albay,
Philippines . It is the birthplace of Gen.Simon Arboleda Ola , the last Filipino general to surrender to the Americans after thePhilippine-American War .Parts of Guinobatan were hit hard by the mudslides from Mayon Volcano caused by Typhoon Reming, particularly Barangay Maipon.
