Mansoor Ali Khan is a South Indian actor who is prominent in Tamil films. He usually plays comedic villains- villains with unusual characteristics making them funnily evil. His first film was Rajathi Thedi starring Karthik (his fourth film)- as a pickpocket-cum-rowdy who harasses the heroine. From then on he has sparse roles in a number of films. He has appeared in Rajnikanth movies- Muthu, Padayappa and Baba as well as in Suyamvaram.

He has made a comeback^{[clarification needed]} as a corrupt inspector in the Tamil movie Kanthaswamy- and has comedy moments with comedian Vadivelu in this film and Thillalangadi film. A favourite of K.S. Ravikumar. He was a dubbing voice in Nadodigal

Personal life

He was born Shakeel Moustafa in Andhra Pradesh in 1964- and worked in a number of acting troupes -including- 'Nadigar Naadagangal' which also included another popular Tamil movie villain-Ponnambalam.He is married to Haseena Begum and has two children with her.

Rape case

He was found guilty of rape and sentenced to seven years imprisonment by a trial court, was acquitted of all charges by the Madras High Court after he agreed to pay Rs. 10 lakh as compensation to the victim. The victim had alleged that she was drugged and raped by Mansoor Ali Khan since December 1996. Relying on the evidence such as the DNA analysis report, Justice S. Ashok Kumar, who was the Principal District and Sessions Judge of Chennai in March 2001, found the actor guilty of rape and cheating, and awarded seven-year RI besides a fine of Rs. 3 lakh.
