Hull Collegiate School has been established as the result of a merger between two of Hull’s independent schools,
Hull High School andHull Grammar School . Situated four miles to the west of Hull and one mile north east of theHumber Bridge , the school is based atTranby Croft , a beautiful country house which benefits from five hectares of mature landscaped grounds. The Preparatory School is housed in a purpose-built facility on the same site and was opened in 2004. The Senior Schools joined forces in September 2005, completing the multi-million pound investment by parent company
United Church Schools Trust . This has provided state-of-the-art facilities and transformed the school into a first class learning environment for the twenty first century.chool terms
There are three annual school terms, collectively known as "Halves" (a historical throwback to when there were only two terms).

* The "Lent Half", from mid January to late March.
* The "Trinity Half", from late April to early July.
