MetraTech

MetraTech Corp was founded in 1998 and produces 4th Generation BSS systems for telecommunications, transport, finance and municipal charging based on Dynamic Business Modeling.

Dynamic Business Modeling is the key differentiator in 4th Generation enterprise applications. Dynamic Business Modeling postulates that the primary function of an enterprise application is to model and automate business models as opposed to merely delivering pre-automated fixed models. This approach can be compared to a Wikipedia versus legacy Encyclopedia approach for documenting knowledge. It is widely adopted in OSS, in particular in SDP based systems.

MetraTech's MetraNet enterprise billing platform comprises the following components:

  • MetraView – User Self-care and EBPP
  • MetraCare – Customer Service
  • MetraOffer – Product Management
  • MetraConfig – Application of Business Analysis to process automation
  • MetraControl – Application Management
  • MetraBill – Engine for Financial Transaction Billing and Care
  • MetraPartner – Engine for Partner Settlement and Care

The company headquarters are in Waltham, Massachusetts and it has offices in 5 countries and deployments in over 30 countries.
