The U.S. Senate election, 1920 was an election for the United States Senate which coincided with the election of Warren G. Harding as President. Democrat Woodrow Wilson's unpopularity allowed Republicans to win races across the country, winning ten seats from the Democrats and cementing their majority. The Republican landslide was so vast that the Democrats failed to win a single race outside the South.
Republicans took open seats in Colorado, Oklahoma, and South Dakota, and defeated seven Democratic incumbents:
* Marcus A. Smith (D-AZ)
* James D. Phelan (D-CA)
* John F. Nugent (D-ID)
* John C. W. Beckham (D-KY)
* John W. Smith (D-MD)
* Charles B. Henderson (D-NV)
* George E. Chamberlain (D-OR)
