Olympic medal record Men's Handball Bronze 1980 Moscow Team Bronze 1984 Los Angeles Team Marian Dumitru (born March 19, 1960 in Ploieştori, Prahova) is a former Romanian handball player who competed in the 1980 Summer Olympics, in the 1984 Summer Olympics, and in the 1992 Summer Olympics.
In 1980 he was a member of the Romanian handball team which won the bronze medal. He played four matches and scored nine goals.
Four years later he won again the bronze medal with the Romanian team. He played all six matches and scored thirty goals.
In 1992 he was part of the Romanian team which finished eighth. He played four matches and scored three goals.
