Devisingh Ransingh Shekhawat

Devisingh Ramsingh Shekhawat is the husband of Pratibha Patil, the current President of India, therefore the First Gentleman of India. He is a member of the political party Indian National Congress and a former mayor of Amravati. He was a member of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly during 1985-1990.[1] His ancestors migrated to Khallar, Maharashtra from Chota Losal village in Sikar district in Rajasthan about a century ago.

An educator, Devisingh married Pratibha Patil on July 7, 1965. They have a son and a daughter.
