Customizable microcontroller

A customizable microcontroller is a microcontroller incorporating a block of digital logic that can be personalized in order to provide additional processing capability, peripherals and interfaces that are adapted to the requirements of the application.

An example of a customizable microcontroller is the AT91CAP from Atmel.
