These programmes were generally well received by critics, although a number perceived certain stereotypical features, including Voillet's Gallic charm, her undoubtedly good looks and the similarity of her spoken English to that of female characters in the BBC's wartime comedy series "'Allo 'Allo!" [See, for example, A.A. Gill in "Sunday Times Culture", 1 July 2007.] .
