Bad weather and the location of crash site, deep in the jungle, made the efforts of search and rescue teams difficult. Eventually, Prime Minister Hun Sen announced officially that the SAR team located the crash site and confirmed the death of all 22 passengers. Cambodian rescue teams said they would collect the bodies of the victims and transport them to Phnom Penh as soon as possible. The coordinates of crash site are coord|10|50.982|N|103|55.417|E|type:landmark, 167km South of Phnom Penh.
