Stefan White

Stefan White was a Gaelic Athletic Association player for Louth in the 1980s and 1990s. He was famed for his ability to score goals . White was always a danger in front of goal. He once scored a point against Meath in Croke Park with a drop kick from 40 yards. He played for O'Connells, Castleblayney Faughs, Clan na Gael, Burren and finished his career with a second spell with hometown club O'Connells.

He won an Ulster SFC with Monaghan in 1988 and several Monaghan SFC with Castleblayney.He was an integral part of the all-conquering Clan na Gael team of the 1990s and won Louth SFC in 1992 & 1993.His best performance in the red jersey came against Mick O Dwyers Kildare side in the 1991 Leinster SFC in Drogheda.He amassed a personal tally of 2-07 including a fantastic last minute goal to dump the Lilywhites out in Mickos maiden season.

A deadly finisher he also scored goals for Louth against both Dublin & Meath in Croke Park in 1992 & 1998 respectively.

Stefan is a son of former Louth great, and 1957 All Ireland winner Stephen White.

Stefan has been a well known analyst on Louth matches on local station LMFM in recent years.
