Emokweme

Emokweme is a town in Weppa Wanno Clan, Nigeria with a population of approximately 20,000 people. It is part of Edo State.

The people speak Etsakor with Weppa Wanno dialect as the native language, and English as the common language. Emokweme are Afemai people.

Emokweme, alongside their other siblings of Igegbode, Unueda make up the iviokpisa kinship group of Weppa Wanno, and they are the original settlers of Agenebode.

The present traditional Ruler 'Okumagbe' Dr.Eghabor and former Chairman of Etsakor-East Council (from 2003-2007)are from Emokweme (Iviokpisa kinship group)
