Eric J

Eric J Dubowsky (born October 26, 1975 in Englewood, New Jersey) also known as Eric J, is a musician, songwriter and record producer. He got his start at Greene St. Studios in New York City, the legendary home of early hip-hop artists Run-DMC, and Public Enemy. It was here Eric assisted engineer/producer Rod Hui. That led to a job working with Arif Mardin in 1998. Eric has worked with artists such as Freeform Five, The Academy Is..., Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Yuka Honda, Luscious Jackson, Pete Rock, Sofi Bonde, 2006 Swedish Idol winner Markus Fagervall [ [http://www.salongk.se/article.aspx?articleID=1129&categID=159 SalongK.se - Markus Fagervall: - Det handlar om att sjunga med kuken ] ] [ [http://www.nsd.se/artikel.aspx?artid=44661&arkiv=False NSD / Nöje Måndag 2006-12-18: "Markus gör albumdebut" ] ] , and actress Emmy Rossum. He was lead singer of NYC band Essex, which he formed with Jeff Buckley drummer, Matt Johnson.

He sings and plays guitar and keyboards in The Relationship and is producing their debut album.

Eric recently finished work as an engineer for the Los Angeles-based rock band Weezer on The Red Album. Eric recently began work as a producer/engineer/mixer for the Chicago-based rock band Ultra Sonic Edukators along with Weezer guitarist Brian Bell.

He composed the theme song to VH-1's Metal Mania.
