Tang Yan

Tiffany Tang Yan (Chinese: ; surname Tang; b. Shanghai, China, December 6, 1983Dubious|date=March 2008) is one of the rising stars in China. She graduated from the Central Academy of Drama in Beijing in 2006, majoring in "art of performance." She was regarded as the most beautiful woman in the college that time and also be recognized as a new rising star in the Chinese entertainment world. Recently, she is a signed entertainer and actress in the Beijing "Chengtian Entertainment" Corporation. Yan was also once selected as the "Princess Jing" by the famous Hong Kong movie director Wong Jing to act in some HK movies. In 2007, she was nominated as the best actress in Shanghai International Film Festival by her first representative movie "Leaving is Another Kind of Love".

Performance experiences

She has acted in many Chinese mainland TV plays in her early time, including her representative works like "Pavilion with Wind","the Long Song of ZhenGuan" and "Pretty Countrywoman". In 2005, she acted in a drama "Paint Still not Dry" and played the major role of "Susan". In 2006, Yan was evaluated very excellent by her first movie "Leaving is Another Kind of Love". In 2007, she performed as the No.1 female role in the MV "Zhu Xian" with Taiwanese actor Ren Xianqi (Richie Ren), and then soon came to the forefront, particularly in Hong Kong and Macau. Tang Yan was praised and accepted by a major of Internet surfers in the whole Chinese society afterwards, and she also has taken lots of artistic photographs for different mainstream fashion magazines in China Recently.

Achievements

In 2001, she took part in the "Shulei Century Star" Chinese Grand Beauties Competition, with the "Top Champion" awarded at the end. In 2004, she was selected as one of the 14 "Olympic Babies" by Chinese director Zhang Yimou and then performed in the grand "Chinese eight minutes" program at the closure of the Athens Olympic Games. In 2007 the 13rd Shanghai International Movie Festival, Tang Yan was nominated both the best TV play actress and the best movie actress at the same time.

Personal opinion

In 2006, after the sex scandal happened in Chinese Entertainment world, Tang Yan strongly opposed and condemned any kind of the "underlying rules", which is mainly regarded as some scandals of abnormal intercourse between actresses and directors.
