History

The station signed on in 1956 as WRPB. Other call letters included WAVC and WCOP. The station covers local news and high school sports of Warner Robins and Houston County, GA. Georgia Eagle Broadcasting purchased the station in January 2007, adding the only Weekday Noon Newshour in the area, if not Georgia. Sister stations include WRPG-FM, WQXZ-FM, WDXQ-FM, WDCO-AM, WCEH-AM and soon WQSA-FM.

Prior to the current News/Talk format, WNNG was "Wing 1350," a satellite-fed adult standards station broadcasting ABC Radio's Timeless format (previously, the station had used ABC's now-defunct "Unforgettable Favorites"/"Memories" network which was merged with "Timeless Classics" to create the current "Timeless Favorites", and before that, Westwood One's America's Best Music).
