"Phantoms" is the 1998 film adaptation of Dean Koontz's 1983 novel "Phantoms". The screenplay was written by the author.

Plot

When two sisters (Joanna Going and Rose McGowan) arrive in the elder sibling's small Colorado town of Snowfield they find it eerily empty. Then they start to find bodies (or pieces of bodies) and realize that something horrible has happened. They come across a group of police officers led by Bryce Hammond (Ben Affleck), a sheriff from a neighboring town who arrived in Snowfield after communications with the local police were interrupted. It isn't long before they realize that they aren't alone in the town and whatever is with them isn't human.
