- Serge Sarkis
Internationally recognized as SAR, [http://www.artofsar.com Serge Sarkis] was born in Russia, and graduated from the Art Academy as a “monumentalist.” SAR considers large-scale outdoor sculpture as his main artistic pursuit. He has completed many major projects in Europe, Asia and North America, including memorial complexes, monumental murals, and statues of major national figures and commemorations of historic events. His work is exhibited in national museums, cultural centers and private collections. SAR’s own technique of bas relief embossed paper was used by NBC Television during the 1988 Olympics.
