11 June 1851 –19 April 1922 ) was a Germanchess master andwriter .Scheve was born in Cosel in the Prussian
Province of Silesia .An army officer by profession, Scheve lived inBreslau , where he co-founded the "Schachverein Breslau Anderssen", and later inBerlin , where he played in many local tournaments.
