Mark Weathers

Mark Weathers (born July 5, 1983 in Tampa, Florida) is an American independent filmmaker and actor. In 2001, he graduated from Gaither High School in Tampa, Florida with a 5.3 weighted/3.7 unweighted GPA ranking 10th in his class. In 2005, he graduated Cum Laude from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance.

Timeline

2000 - While in High School, started "Classic Movie Club". An article was written about the group in the St. Petersburg Times. A few weeks after the release of "Bad Apples", the Columbine High School Massacre took place. Upon graduating from Gaither High School, went Backpacking (travel) through Europe for 70 days on $3,150. An article was published about his trip in the St. Petersburg Times. 2002 - Interned at Fox Television

2003 - At the age of 20, started his own production company "Indie/Outie Productions, Corp" with a goal of making independent content that is distributed commercially. The company shot it's first feature film, a romantic comedy titled "My First Love", [ [http://www.mandy.com/1/film3.cfm?id=3576 My First Love (Indie/Outie Productions) - Film Sales Distributors Market - Film TV Production Mandy's Directory ] ] on DV with 17 locations, 57 speaking roles, and 36 crew for $3,400. Production was sponsored by Publix, Albertson's, Jimmy John's, and Domino's Pizza. Locations were donated. The entire crew was comprised of students at the University of Florida, most of whom had no previous film experience. In exchange for the crew and actors working for free, Weathers taught the various jobs required to produce a feature film.

2004 - Interned at Miramax Films

2005 - Upon graduating from the University of Florida, moved to Los Angeles and took a job working in the new media division of Anonymous Content. Formed networking group Industry Nexus.

2006 - Worked for various companies such as Fox, HBO, Showtime, CBS, International Creative Management and Paramount.

2007 - *Producing a feature HD documentary on a unique organization that has a proactive rehab solution to the worldwide homeless problem.
