The Karuna Institute is a non-profit organisation that runs training courses in
core process psychotherapy andcraniosacral therapy inWidecombe-in-the-Moor ,Devon ,England . It was founded by Maura Sills and Franklyn Sills. The name "Karuna " comes from the Sanskrit word translated as "compassion".The institute offers training and professional qualifications in
psychotherapy , accredited by the United Kingdom Council of Psychotherapy (one of two independent national accreditation bodies recognised for psychotherapists used by the UKNational Health Service ), and masters degrees accredited byMiddlesex University .The Core Process Psychotherapy training work has also spread internationally to
Israel andIreland with foundation courses being run in those countries.Completion of a course in craniosacral biodynamics from the Karuna Institute is recognised by the Craniosacral Therapy Association of the UK, and leads to a professional qualification in craniosacral therapy. The Institute also offers advanced
