Clark made hisMajor League Baseball debut with theBaltimore Orioles in by|2002 and has played at the major league level in parts of six seasons with the Orioles, theToronto Blue Jays , and the Twins. Clark was drafted by the
Baltimore Orioles in the 27th round of the by|1992 amateur draft and spent 10 years in Baltimore's minor league system. During this time, Clark played in parts of four seasons with theRochester Red Wings , the Orioles' Triple-A affiliate, from by|1998 to by|2002 and was named the team captain.He made his major league debut with Baltimore onJuly 16 , by|2002. Clark became afree agent after the 2002 season and signed with theToronto Blue Jays .After two seasons with the Blue Jays, Clark signed a minor league contract with the
Pittsburgh Pirates . He spent the by|2005 season with the Pirates' Double-A and Triple-A organizations before signing with Baltimore before the by|2006 season. Clark played most of the year with their Triple-A affiliate, theOttawa Lynx , but was called up to Baltimore for a brief stretch during the months of June and July. After 2006, Clark re-signed with Toronto.On
May 30 , by|2007, while playingthird base for the Blue Jays, Clark let an easy pop fly fall afterAlex Rodriguez yelled in order to distract the infielders. August 7 , 2007. He then signed a minor league contract with theMinnesota Twins onNovember 27 of that year and began the by|2008 season with theRochester Red Wings , now the Triple-A affiliate of the Twins. Clark was called up to Minnesota onMay 16 to replace the injuredMatt Tolbert but wasdesignated for assignment to Rochester onMay 31 .
