- Rolldown
Rolldown was a US
lottery game administered by theMulti-State Lottery Association (MUSL). It was played in a number of jurisdictions that sell MUSL's most popular game,Powerball . It began in September 2000 and was discontinued in April 2002. It was replaced byHot Lotto , which is still being played as of September 2008.Players paid US$1 for each game, which consisted of five numbers from 01 to 55. A winning ticket matched at least two numbers. If there was no ticket with a perfect match, the top prize rolled down into the other three prize levels (4/5, 3/5, and 2/5), unlike traditional games where the first prize "
jackpot s" and rolls over.Wisconsin, although also a MUSL member, offered its own 5/55 game (Money Roll) with a rolldown feature during much of the time MUSL Rolldown was played.
