Socials

Wednesday night at Nottingham University is Athletic Union (AU) night and our socials coincide with a trip to CRISIS. Socials are frequently themed for added entertainment and normally start in a local bar before heading into town.

Tiger Ball The Tiger ball is held once a year, usually in November/December. The event is staged on the same day as the annual old boy's boat race. The day involves racing between current members and alumni during the afternoon followed by the ball in the evening.

Tiger Bar Over the May Bank Holiday weekend that plays host to BUSA Regatta, NUBC puts on one of the biggest university social events of the year. Students from every university in the country are welcomed to Tiger Bar. Running at Holme Pierpont over the duration of the BUSA weekend, a bar is laid on in a purpose built marquee to play host to up to 500 rowers. Culminating in a huge party on the Sunday night.

Tiger Challenge

The Tiger Challenge is the club's 'Eights Head of the River' initiation for freshers consisting of 6 half pints of Lager/Bitter/Stout/Cider/Bitter/Lager to be drunk within 6 minutes.

Club kit

The club is renowned for its yellow blades and yellow, green and navy blue rowing vest.
