MCTRL

MCTRL

MCTRL (Media Control XML) is a scripting language based on XML. It serves as an added layer to media processing functions. MCTRL is used extensively in voicemail media control since it has playback speed, fast-forward, rewind, pause, resume, and skip functions. In addition, the MCTRL language is able to handle events asynchronously, allowing for high volumes of server traffic and multiple concurrent users.

MCTRL was popularized by LignUp Corporation when it was introduced as a core portion of the web services layer of the LignUp Communications Platform. ( [http://www.voip-news.com/press-releases/meridea-lignup-051606/] )
