Liberation Music is a boutique, independent Australasian record company, started in 1999 by Michael Gudinski and Warren Costello. Its stated aim is to find, nurture and then to develop new talent for a world market while remaining independent in the process.

History

Following the 1998 sale of Gudinski's Mushroom Records to Festival Records, Liberation Music was formed to continue to satisfy Michael Gudinksi's desire to promote and develop Australian Music [About [http://www.liberation.com.au/about.cfm Liberation Music] 2008. Festival Mushroom Records is the affilate for Warner Bros. Records and Warner Music Australia.

Associated Labels

Liberation Music is closely linked with different arms of the Mushroom Group of Companies and is often known as the parent label of other Mushroom associated labels.
