Attala County, Mississippi , Sisson moved with his father toChoctaw County, Mississippi .He attended the common schools and theFrench Camp Academy , Mississippi.He was graduated fromSouthwestern Presbyterian University ,Clarkesville, Tennessee , in 1889. Principal of Carthage High School in 1889 and 1890 and of the graded schools ofKosciusko, Mississippi from 1890 to 1892.He studied law at theUniversity of Mississippi at Oxford and was graduated fromCumberland School of Law atCumberland University ,Lebanon, Tennessee .He was admitted to the bar atMemphis, Tennessee , in 1894 and commenced practice inWinona, Mississippi .He served as member of the State senate in 1898.He served as district attorney of the fifth judicial district 1903-1907.Sisson was elected as a Democrat to the Sixty-first and to the six succeeding Congresses (
March 4 ,1909 -March 3 ,1923 ).He was an unsuccessful candidate for reelection in 1922 to the Sixty-eighth Congress.He died inWashington, D.C. ,September 26 ,1923 .He was interred in Oak Hill Cemetery,Winona, Mississippi .References
