"CFFC:5" featured the mixed martial arts debut of Kimbo Slice, a bare knuckle street brawler from Miami, Florida. Slice's opponent was 'Merciless' Ray Mercer, an American professional boxer and former WBO World Heavyweight Champion and Olympic Gold Medalist that resides in Fayetteville, North Carolina, also made his MMA debut.
