The song was also revived by pop singer Diana Ross when she covered Holiday in the biopic, "Lady Sings the Blues", in 1972. Released as a single later on that year to promote the movie, the song brought Ross another trip to the top forty on the "Billboard" charts reaching number eight on the pop chart.
