1927 - The station opens as Nishi-Ikuta Station. This station is originally set to be a stop for "Through" trains.
*1945 - The station becomes a local train stop after "Through" trains are discontinued
*1946 - Promoted to Semi Express stop
*1948 - Promoted to Sakura Semi Express stop
*1960 - Promoted to Commuter Semi Express stop
*1964 - The station in renamed to Yomiuri-Land-mae Station since Yomiuri-Land began operation
*1964 - Only on holidays, Rapid Express begins to stop
*1978 - Skip Semi Express is introduced, and passes the station
*1990 - Skip Semi Express is discontinued, and becomes an all-Semi Express stop
*1995 - The new concourse is completed, and begins operation
