* - Construction is expected to be completed on New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority's East Side Access project to bring Long Island Rail Road trains into Grand Central Terminal. * - Construction is expected to be completed on the "Metro North" Phase of the Dublin Metro system. Metro North is the key Metro project in Dublin, linking Dublin International Airport with the City Centre.
* - Construction is schdueled to begin on the Downtown San Francisco Extension, which will extend the Caltrain line mi to km|1.3 from the current terminus at 4th & King (close to AT&T Park) to Downtown San Francisco's Transbay Transit Center. If approved, the California High Speed Rail system would use this extension as their San Francisco terminus. The extension is scheduled to open in 2019.
*flagicon|Canada - Construction is expected to be completed on three extensions of Calgary, Alberta's light rail transit system, the C-Train. The new West leg, along with the two extensions on the Northeast and Northwest lines, will add about km to mi|12.8 of new track, and nine new stations.
* - Construction is expected to be completed on the Marina Bay Extension of the Circle MRT Line.
