Poland took part in the first Eurovision Dance Contest in 2007. Katarzyna Cichopek and Marcin Hakiel who won the series "Taniec z gwiazdami" (local version of Strictly Come Dancing) represented the country. The dances that were performed at the contest were Cha-Cha-Cha and Showdance. Poland came forth after receiving 84 points from 12 countries.Poland took their first Eurovision title in any form in the EDC 2008, coming first with 154 points from all countries. Poland will host the Eurovision Dance Contest in 2009. It will be first Eurovision Dance Contest held outside of UK.
