Aragats Gyumri

Aragats Gyumri is an Armenian football club from Gyumri. The club made their professional debut in the 1993 Armenian First League, where they participated in Group 2 out of two groups fighting for promotion. They finished in fifth position of their group which was not enough to gain promotion to the Armenian Premier League. As a result they were forced to remain in the First League. The year after they would become First League winners and were promoted to the Premier League. They were at the highest level for two seasons before they relegated again. Despite a fourth position in the 2001 First League they would never come close to Premier League football again.
