Ticket plug

A ticket/contestant plug is an announcement on game shows where the announcer would tell people at home on how to be a contestant or see a particular game show in person. Although most game shows use either the ticket information on a background of rotating lights, an envelope with the ticket information, or a simple shot of the audience; the Match Game was an unusual exception. It would show two people's (celebrities and/or contestants) faces combined into one image by superimposing a male celebrity's face on a female celebrity or contestant's head, putting a male contestant's mustache on a female (sometimes a male) celebrity's face. or putting a female contestant's mouth on a male celebrity's face. GSN however rarely airs any ticket/contestant plugs since these shows have long been cancelled and are shown in reruns.
