Yerazank Yerevan

Yerazank Yerevan

Yerazank Yerevan is an Armenian football club from Yerevan. The club participated as Shengavit Yerevan in the first ever Armenian football competition after the split-up from the Soviet Union. After the regular competition they did not qualify for the championship stage, but were forced to play in the relegation stage. Here they finished in second position, which gave them a spot in the Armenian Premier League for the 1993 season. They changed their team name to Yerazank Yerevan and remained in the league until 1995. That year the league was split up in two groups of six clubs and Yerazank finished in 6th position of the first group, resulting in relegation. Since then they never returned to the highest level anymore.
