Wilma Fath was born on October 8, 1913 in
Bad Ragaz ,Switzerland . Before she became a guard, her life was mostly uneventful.Camps
On September 19, 1944 she reported to the
Ravensbrück camp to begin her training to be a camp matron, and three weeks later, when her training ended, she began work as anAufseherin . Soon after her training was completed, Wilma was assigned to oversee a transport of women to the Allendorf subcamp ofBuchenwald . She stayed in that post until the Americans closed in on the camp in April 1945, and she fled back home.Post-war
After the war, Fath was netted in a de-Nazification hearing and asked about her role in the two camps. She repeatedly denied participating in the maltreatment of camp inmates and was never prosecuted by the US court.
