- Lieve Fransen
Lieve Fransen, MD, PhD is the Director of the Representations Directorate for the European Commission's Directorate-General Communication. She has managed research programs in
Kenya andRwanda and served as a public health advisor to the Health Ministry ofMozambique . From 1987 to 1993 she was Director of the European Commission's AIDS Task Force. Dr. Fransen has written peer-reviewed publications and numerous policy documents for the European Council and the European Parliament, and has served as Vice-Chair of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.Together with Prof.
Alan Whiteside , she prepared an HIV/AIDS Toolkit "Study of the Impact of HIV Epidemic on the Social and Economic Development of Developing Countries."External links
