Placed in service in June1965 , USS Redwing, fitted with special fenders to allow her to work with theU.S. Navy 's round-hulled nuclear poweredsubmarines , has operated in the 11th and12th Naval District s, assisting largerU.S. Navy ships in docking and performing general towing services.Latest Status
