Manhattan ,New York . It was originally the home ofBell Telephone Laboratories between 1898 and 1966. radar , thevacuum tube , thetransistor , medical equipment, the development of thephonograph record and the first commercial broadcasts including the first broadcast of abaseball game and theNew York Philharmonic withToscanini conducting.
