Halfmoon Bay Elementary School is a public elementary school in Halfmoon Bay, British Columbia, part of School District 46 Sunshine Coast. It is for Kindergarten to Grade 7. It has a unique location as it backs onto Crown Land. This forest is a prime learning site for many of the students as they are able to hike, and learn in the forest. The grade 6 and 7 students even have the opportunity to participate in trail-building where they actually spend their afternoons building a new trail to augment the complex trail system in Halfmoon Bay. After leaving grade seven at Halfmoon Bay most students go to Chatelech Secondary School, and some go to Pender Harbour Secondary School.
