John Cumberland

John Cumberland

John Cumberland (born May 10, 1947 in Westbrook, Maine) is a former Major League Baseball player and coach. Cumberland pitched for six seasons in the Major Leagues between by|1968 and by|1974 for the New York Yankees, San Francisco Giants, St. Louis Cardinals, and California Angels.

After retiring Cumberland became a coach, serving as both bullpen coach and pitching coach for the Boston Red Sox, before being fired in 2001. He also served as the pitching coach for the Kansas City Royals from 2002-2003.
